-commensal with various crayfish (Hoff 1942 in Baker 1969) but does not require crayfish for host, feeds on algae (Baker 1969)

-Hosts:  C. puer, P. acutus acutus, P. clarki, P. hinei, P. simulans simulans (Hart & Hart 1974)

-collected from caves in Comal, Kendall, Menard counties, all with P. clarki as host (Reddell 1965 & 1970)
